Sphyrna zygaena (Linnaeus, 1758)
Smooth hammerhead - Gladde hamerhaai
All photos of a specimen washed ashore along the coastal road at Miranda, New Zealand, 15-2-2009. No obvious wounds were seen. Unfortunately I could not take it with me.
